GC 09: Sony has announced bold new plans to give the PlayStation Portable version of long-delayed racing sim
Gran Turismo away for free in an effort to boost sales of the PSP Go.
Put simply – anyone who registers their new PSP Go between the 1st and 10th of October can bag themselves a completely free version of the game.
The free version of
Gran Turismo PSP will be the full and complete version too, not some little demo or prologue to the full product. It’ll be delivered digitally though, so you might want to back the sucker up to a memory card. No word yet on
where exactly to register it, but the PSP Go will launch on October 1st for around £214.
The announcement was made here in Cologne by SCEE boss Andrew House, who went on to make a number of other notable
PS3 and
PSP announcements.
The offer will only be available for that short period though and will only be open to those of you who pick up a brand new PSP Go – so you’d better be quick if you want to snag yourself a copy.
