Sony has unveiled a rough release date and pricing for the upcoming handheld console formerly known as the NGP, now known as the
PlayStation Vita.
The new console is set to release this Autumn, according to an announcement made during Sony's E3 2011 press conference.
The PlayStation Vita will be available in two models; one which is WiFi only and one that boasts both 3G and WiFi. The WiFi model will cost €249.99 (£223 GBP), while the 3G version will cost €299.99 (£268 GBP).
In the US the prices will be the same, but in dollars. AT&T is the exclusive 3G carrier in the US too.
Sony made some other announcements regarding the PlayStation Vita, including that Irrational is working on adapting the BioShock franchise for the Vita and that
CCP is extending it's PS3 exclusive, Dust 514, to the platform too.
