Gamers of a certain age all remember Sam and Max. A psychotic rabbit and a dog detective, they hail from the golden age of adventure gaming.

Sam and Max were one in a line of hugely successful LucasArts adventure titles in the early ninties, titles which included Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle. All the games have recently enjoyed a new lease of life thanks to versions of SCUMM - the main game engine that powered the games - being converted to Pocket PC, enabling point-and-click adventuring to become point-and-tap.

Rumours of a Sam and Max revival have been floating around for a while now, with some refusing to believe that a concrete revival by the chaps at TellTale Games is actually going to happen.

Well, it seems like something is going on, since the first page of a webcomic based on the new title is up on the internet.

It's not particularly exciting at the moment, but frankly, they could put a big black square and we'd salivate if it had a Sam and Max caption at the top.

Do you guys remember the golden oldies? Who plays Day of the Tentacle on their iPaq? Tell us over in the forums.
