Belgian Magazine PCGameplay has reported that a sequel to
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is in development at Relic Entertainment according to
IGN.
The magazine article in question apparently only makes mention of two races so far, the Orkz and Space Marines, but a few other details have slipped out - namely that co-op strategy campaigns are a certainty and that the game will have DirectX 10 features and support for multiple CPU cores. Gee! Whizz!
The last of the expansion packs for the original
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, titled
Soulstorm, was released not long ago.
Unfortunately,
Soulstorm also carried with it the fact that it was the last game to come from
Iron Lore Studios, developer of
Titan Quest, before the developer shut it's doors.
On the plus side,
Soulstorm did feature specially trained warrior nuns.
Relic has reportedly been working on the sequel to
Dawn of War since September 2006, and the game is due out next year. You can pass the time until then by telling us what you think in
