Space sim Skyjacker has been re-launched on Kickstarter to raise enough funds for the team to perform finishing touches on the game.
Skyjacker puts you in the role of a human space pirate fighting against a universe of hostile aliens. It has both single player and co-op modes and the options for players to build their own missions.
The game is nearing completion with 90% of the finished artwork in place and a playable alpha of the title does exist. Team Digitilus is asking for $150,000 to finish work on the mission assembly, voice acting, multiplayer stress testing, localisation and the final pieces of artwork.
So far the project has raised $11,844 from 308 backers. The campaign will close on November 22.
This will be the third time Skyjacker has taken to Kickstarter. Its first campaign was cancelled in May 2012 and its second finished with only $128,238 of its $200,000 goal raised in July 2012.
The Skyjacker team has been making ends meet so far by hiring out its services under the name Abyss Lights Studio and has worked with several clients in the games industry. The team has clocked up contributions on more than 400 projects including Need for Speed, League of Legends and World of Tanks.
