Sony is under fire today after releasing an advert in the Netherlands which shows a white woman pulling on a face of a black woman with the display "PlayStation Portable white is Coming".

The advert has been pulled after claims of racism present in the commercial. The white version in the Netherlands was made for the country only, and produced locally too.

It's easy to see where racism would come into place, where an impression that white is better than black is given but Sony has denied racism and has released a statement with an apology:

"Even though the ad was perceived in an unexpected way, we'd like to apologise to the people who were offended by the ads."

But given its history with previous cons traversal adverts will this go down well? Let us know your thoughts in the forums.
