If you still haven't got round to unlocking all the new achievements for the Medic class in Valve's
Team Fortress 2 then you may want to get your skates on before you get drowned under another shed-load of achievements heading your way this Thursday - Valve has just dated the next update for the game.
The new update for
Team Fortress 2 will hit servers this Thursday and will focus on the flame-throwing Pyro class, but will include content essentially along the same lines as that added for the Medic in the last update.
For those of you focused on gameplay, that'll mean the most important thing in the new update will be the new unlockable weapons for the Pyro, one of which is the already announced Axtinguisher melee weapon which does low damage to ordinary enemies, but constant criticals to anyone you've set on fire.
If you're more the kind of player who just wants to rack up the achievements though (
*cough*Jamie*cough*) then you'll be pleased to know that the new Pyro update will also include 35 new achievements tailored specifically to the playing style of the Pyro.
What's more, Valve is also continuing the run of '
Meet the...' videos and has announced that the next video in the set will focus on the Sniper class and will be debuting tomorrow as a run-up to the new update.
Topping all this news off though is the fact that two new user-made maps are being added to the official map lists for players to have a bash at and that Steam will be running another free weekend for
TF2 as well.
Are you still a big
Team Fortress 2 player, or has the appeal drained away? Let us know in
