We discovered that there is some new content coming on Friday for the new Tomb Raider demo which was released earlier this week.

As we were playing around with some settings in the graphics options, we noticed an option to enable 'Next Generation content'. However, it was greyed out and unable to be selected.

A quick rifle through the Readme told us why. The demo will get an update on Friday making available the extra content for download. What will it do?

Well, it should add a bunch of Xbox 360 features to the PC demo. The demo, as it is, looks pretty good - Lara looks wet as she climbs out of the water, and her hair drips water as she walks along. Lighting is generally good, and the detail levels are also not bad. However, it's certainly not as good as we were hoping it would be, looking more like a very good Xbox game rather than a next-gen game.

Hopefully the extra content will give the visuals a significant leg-up. We are testing the full version of the game this week and we're just about to get around to enabling the next-gen stuff, so we'll let you know.

Have you enjoyed the new Tomb Raider demo? Looking forward to the game coming out on Friday? Let us know what you think over in the forums.
