Ubisoft has rolled out the Frag Dolls to espouse the awesome gaming goodness of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.
The game is the next in the long-running Ghost Recon series, and is released for PC and Xbox 360 in March. It features a next-gen graphical engine that really looks the biz - check out our preview of the game which will be up on the site shortly.
Ubi hired out the
Skirmish paintball centre in High Wycombe, then invited journalists and lucky competition winners to come play almost-final code of the game, then frag each other in RL with some paintballing action. That is, if their hearts hadn't already stopped either from a) the sight of girls at a paintballing centre or b) the FREEZING COLD.
I was lucky enough to grab a Ghost Recon spot (cunningly near to the outdoor heater) next to the lovely
Voodoo, who - shortly after absolutely caning me in a deathmatch - told me that she was a big fan of the game (well, she would be,
huh?)
"So far it seems to be well balanced," she espoused. "I'm a big fan of the Carbine: I stick with that. It's pretty much the same as in the previous versions, which I play a lot on Xbox Live. I haven't really worked out my favourite map yet, though; they're quite varied, I need to spend some more time playing." At which point, she pistol whipped me with a 360 controller, looted my pockets for ammo then ran off into the sunset, leaving me with nothing but sweet, unconscious dreams of pajama pillow-fights in the Frag Dolls mansion.
