GamesCom 2010: Developer and publisher Digital Reality has announced that it is teaming up with Suda 51's studio, Grasshopper Manafacture, to create a new title, Sinemora.

Sinemora will be a horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up destined for a digital release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. No footage was shown of the game, but time-based gameplay will apparently be a key mechanic, with time-control based features set to play an important role.

Sinemora is the first of a series of titles to be co-developed between Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manafacture, all of which are set to be published by Digital Reality.

The title has apparently been in production since E3 at least, with Suda 51 explaining that the teams first hit upon the idea at that event, after many pints of beer and months of love letters. Yes, that's a quote.

"We had been writing love letters for months," said Suda 51, with the aid of a translator. "We had been writing about our love...for videogames."

Sinemora is apparently set for a Q3 2011 release, with more details set to leak out in the coming months.
