Aussie enthusiast mag, Atomic, are holding what they call "Hotbox of the Year 05" - a competition to see which case mod is voted the best from the past 12 months.

Naturally, hailing from just outside Sydney, our very own Pete 'G-gnome' Dickison was selected in the the final group, and you the reader have a chance in further cementing the awesome Orac³ in modding folklore.

All you need to do is hit the Atomic website, register if you are not already a member, and cast your vote. There are actually many other very high quality entries, so we promise not to ban your IP if you don't vote for Orac³.

It is constantly amazing to see what new places modders find to squeeze a computer: Mark's Scanner Box (Issue 51) puts a neat spin on reusing ancient hardware, plus it comes with a pre-built window! RapidFrog's Jerry Can looks well executed and would suit a real petrolhead. Trevor's Microwave Magic from Issue 47 is just freaky - you can't help but think initially that it is an explosion just waiting to happen.

Travis' Cool Cube is entirely made from case fans, and produces a funky red-blue glow from neons inside, and I can't not mention Alex's Demonic Case from Issue 48 - the boy's got skills with an airbrush, that's for sure.

In fact, well done to everyone shortlisted, and special thanks to NVIDIA and Biostar for supporting the modding community. Voting is open until Wednesday 14th September, and you can only vote once, so choose wisely.

Unlike on Big Brother, we encourage you to talk about your Nominations. Once you have cast your vote, join us in the Forums to chat about the competition.
