GamesCom 2009: Since it’s primarily a gaming event and not a hardware or modding show there’s not been a huge amount of case mods and scratch-builds on show at GamesCom in Cologne this year – but there have been a few.
That said, what few mods there were still high-quality and professionally built ones, some of which were nothing short of gorgeous. There were even a few mods that were still in production on the show floor though we weren’t able to get much info out of the people we spoke to thanks to the language barrier.
According to what we could find out though, many of the mods were at least built in conjunction with
MAG Modding and DCMM, as well as the suspiciously named
BT-CustomPC team (who are actually nothing to do with either
bit-tech or Custom PC Magazine.
CPC readers might recognise this machine as Cosmos Dragon from Issue 71 of the mag - it started off as a Cooler Master Cosmos machine and has been extensively customised with pieces of Plexiglas. We'll be running a full write up of this mod here on
bit-tech in the future, too.
Cosmos Dragon wasn't the only machine on show though - below we’ve got pictures of all the mods we saw, so take a look and let us know what you make of them in the forums.
