Creative has put out a new driver for the X-Fi, which is available for Windows XP download.

The new driver fixes bugs in Battlefield 2, Quake 4 and Doom 3. There's a fix for system crashes in Prey.

It also enables a new Ultra High Quality audio mode in BF2 when playing a multiplayer game. There are also fixes for some crackling problems that users have been reporting, but there is as yet no general fix for the issues that users have been reporting with nForce 4 motherboards.

Added in is support for the OpenAL 1.1 audio standard.

Go and check out the download and let us know how it changes your X-Fi experience over in the forums.
