Bitfenix has officially unveiled its latest chassis design, and this time it's going budget-friendly with a sub-£30 steel model with optional window: the Bitfenix Nova.
Designed for those who like Bitfenix cases but who are on a tight budget, the Nova ATX chassis is designed to stretch the functionality without breaking the bank. The case offers seven expansion slots, support for CPU coolers up to 160mm tall, power supplies up to 220mm long, and graphics cards up to 320mm long and 140mm tall. It includes a 5.25" optical drival bay, four 3.5" drive bays, and two 2.5" drive bays. There's a single 120mm fan at the rear, with support for a radiator if you'd prefer, and room for another two 120mm fans at the front. The front panel includes one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, and analogue audio ports, along with a white power LED and red drive activity LED.
So far, so standard. Where Bitfenix is looking to differentiate from other budget cases is in the design. A front door dampens fan noise while 134 air vents - hidden behind Bitfenix' signature mesh strip - let air in to cool the components. The front panel interface is angled for easy access, and the large round power button claimed to be easy to find for those who prefer to turn their systems on with their eyes closed. There's even a removable dust filter for the power supply included as standard, along with rubberised feet.
The Bitfenix Nova is to launch soon in black and white variants with or without a side-panel window. The non-windowed version is priced at £23.99; the windowed version £26.99. More information is available on the company's official website.
