Case-maker Cooltek has announced its latest mid-tower design, the Skall, ahead of an early December launch - and it's running a competition to celebrate.
Sitting at the opposite end of the market to the company's
X4 budget chassis, the Skall is designed to sit at the top of the tree as Cooltek's premium offering. As a result, you'll find plenty of features in the list: the Skall includes fully modular hard drive cages, two multi-step fan controllers as standard, tool-free optical and 3.5" drive installation, and improved cable management.
A mesh inlay in the back of the case top is, the company claims, easily removed for installation of fans or liquid-cooling radiators, with the company promising support for 280mm or 360mm radiators via a specially-designed mounting frame that avoids interfering with motherboard components. Alternatively, the modular drive cages allow for installation of a 240mm radiator at the front of the case, behind the bundled two 120mm LED-illuminated fans - which will be available in blue, green, or red. The front also hosts the three external 5.25" drive bays and a panel featuring two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, and HD audio ports.
To celebrate the launch of the Skall, Cooltek is running a competition: each month between December 2015 to May 2016 inclusive, the company will be drawing the names of two lucky winners from its hat to receive a full refund on the purchase price of the Skall. Information on how to put your name in the ring will, the company has explained, be included in a letter packaged with each case.
The Cooltek Skall launches in December at a manufacturer's recommended selling price of €84.99. UK pricing has not yet been confirmed.
