NZXT has announced another couple of products for its enthusiast line-up: the H630 case and the Sentry Mix 2 fan controller, both due for retail availability later this year.
First, the case: dubbed an 'Ultra-Tower' by the company, the H630 takes features from the company's existing line-up and adds sound-dampening materials and support for slow-spinning 200mm fans to help keep the noise levels down. Designed for use with motherboards up to XL-ATX in size, NZXT is hoping to win over the hearts and wallets of water-cooling enthuiasts with the H630: the chassis includes space for radiators of up to 360mm in the top and front, along with room for a third 280mm rad in the floor - all of which can be fitted in addition to the aforementioned front-mounted 200mm fans, one of which is included with the case as standard.
The H630 also includes a single 140mm fan in the rear of the case, while slim vents on the edge of the case provide cooling while allowing the sides to be made from solid steel backed with noise-dampening foam - one of the key aspects of the quiet-but-cool design ethos behind the H630. The front of the case includes two externally-accessible 5.25in drive bays and an input-output panel offering two USB 3.0 connections, two USB 2.0 connections, an SD card reader, audio output and the power LED.
Internally, the steel chassis provides space for eight 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives or SSDs, two of which are hidden behind the motherboard tray. For air-cooling, the H630 supports a maximum heatsink height of 190mm, and a maximum graphics card length of 354mm, and provides 27mm of cable management space between the chassis and the side panel.
Overclockers UK is currently taking orders for the H630, where it is available for pre-order in
black and
white guises for £129.05 ahead of a June release.
The company's fan controller, meanwhile, is due to launch later this year as an upgrade to the existing Sentry Mix model. Based around the same design - clearly built to evoke comparisons to AV equipment - the Sentry Mix 2 offers six fan channels, each controlled by an independent slider. Designed to fit in a 5.25" drive bay, the Sentry Mix two is powered by two four-pin Molex connectors to allow the six fans to spread their load across multiple 12v lines if required. All six outputs are four-pin PWM types, while the system as a whole is rated to 180W of total output power.
Thus far, NZXT hasn't offered a release date or pricing for the Sentry Mix 2, nor whether it plans to offer alternative colour schemes to the unveiled black model.
