A group of enthusiasts from
bit-tech's forum have decided to organise a UK-orientated overclocking competition with members from other forums joining in to take part in the fun.
All you need is a system capable of running an AGP graphics card and some time on your hands. In order to make the competition a more dependent on the graphics card, they've chosen a batch of Radeon 9600 SE's from
Retek Direct for the competition. The generous guys at Retek have given the competition organisers a great deal on the video cards in order to make it easier for people to take part.
As a direct result of this, you'll be able to purchase your card from the competition organisers for around £23 including delivery. They're also offering to volt-mod the cards for an additional £7 if you're unable to do that yourself. A volt modded card should help you to increase your chances of winning the competition.
Along with Retek Direct, a number of companies have stepped up to sponsor the competition, including ourselves. The current prize kitty is as follows:
1st Prize for air cooling category:

bit-tech.net - 1 x
