Peripherals specialist Tesoro has announced the impending UK availability of the Lobera Spectrum mechanical keyboard, due to hit the market in early May.
Building on the design of its existing
Lobera Supreme G5NFL gaming keyboard, the Lobera Spectrum adds individual per-key backlighting through red, green and blue (RGB) LEDs - allowing for any key to be customised to almost any visible colour. As you might expect, the on-board controller also includes a raft of effects: dimming, full-zone, trigger, ripple, firework, radiation, rainbow wave, per-key, an audio-driven visualisation mode, and five brightness levels. When customised, up to five profiles can be stored within the keyboard's memory, Tesoro has announced.
While previous Tesoro keyboard designs have been available with either Cherry MX or Kailh mechanical switches, the company has confirmed that the Lobera Spectrum will launch in the UK with Kailh exclusively. Buyers will be given the option of Blue, Black, Brown or Red, corresponding to tactile with click, linear high actuation force, tactile without click, or linear low actuation force. The keyboard also uses Costar stabilisers, metal bars which pass through the underside of the larger keys acting as a hinge.
The keyboard's other features include a 1,000Hz polling rate, switchable N-key or 6-key USB rollover support, 512KB of storage with instant macro recording, and an integrated media hub featuring two USB 2.0 ports with DC power input for smartphone charging and analogue audio input and output jacks.
Tesoro has confirmed that the Lobera Spectrum will be available in the UK in early May, priced at £109 for any switch type. More information is available on the
official website.
