Case-maker Lian Li has announced two new power supplies based around the small-form factor SFX-L standard: the Lian Li PE-550 and PE-750.
Designed for use with small form factor cases - but not those which rely upon the even smaller SFX standard - Lian Li's SFX-L power supplies are available with a choice of power outputs: as their names suggest, the PE-550 offers a 550W output with 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating while the PE-750 offers 750W with 80 PLUS Platinum cerficiation. Externally, the two models are otherwise near-identical bar for flush connectors on the PE-550 while the PE-750 has them sitting proud of the main chassis.
Both power supplies include a 120mm fan behind a square grille and use a fully-modular design, coming complete with a set of flat ribbon-style cables finished in black and stored in a bundled carry case. Oddly, the number and type of cables you'll get does not appear to on model: both the PE-550 and more powerful PE-750 come with a 20+4-pin ATX connector, 8/4pin EPS connector, 12 SATA connectors, three four-pin Molex connectors, one floppy connector, and four 8/6-pin PCI Express connectors.
More information on the
PE-550 and
PE-750 is available on their respective product pages, with Lian Li yet to confirm UK pricing and availability for either model.
