It's another crazy week here on bit-tech. Allow us to give you the low-down on what's up ahead...
Today, NVIDIA is launching its 7950 GX2 card - what it claims is the fastest single card in the world. It's effectively two 7900 GTs strapped together a la Quad SLI. We've had the card in the bit-tech labs for a week or so now, and we've got a pretty good idea how it shapes up. We'll be filling you in on the specs in just a wee while.
Tuesday, and it's the conclusion of the ultimate modding behemoth - WMD.
G-gnome has worked his little beard off to put the finishing touches to what is possibly the greatest mod in existence. Prepare for some sublime eye candy.
On Wednesday, Computex starts. The world's biggest trade show for hardware geeks like us, there's going to be some cool info coming out. Expect more new info on Conroe and accompanying motherboards. ATI is promising that it has some cool stuff to show us, and expect more details on AMD's 4x4 platform. There will be products galore on the trade floor, and we'll be bringing you the info and the pics on all the latest.
It's almost World Cup time, and we'll be putting up a guide to all the kit you're going to need to keep yourself on top of the latest scores. We'll also be looking at the best quiet graphics cards to sit in your Media Center system, and comparing the video quality on HD and standard-def content across ATI and NVIDIA.
Rounding out the week, we finish on another footballing note - Sensible Soccer. We've been playing the new version of the much-loved retro series and boy, it's awesome. Bring back the Amiga, eh?
Hopefully, this gives you a bit of a clue as to how the site will look over the week ahead. Stay tuned!
