Project ALIEN by Igor Below
The first build can be found on the
Cooler Master forum. It takes a very brave man to tackle an Alien, but Igor Below is attempting it.

Using what looks like plaster, he started to create the familiar Alien head.

Shaping, sanding, and carving is no quick task, and he is putting a lot of time and effort into getting the details correct.

Detailing is all done with hand tools and must be painstakingly slow, however it will be worth it if he can pull this build off.

The head has been made so it can open up. Igor has used two hinges to give it lift. It will be interesting to see what this is for.

The paint work has been started. I hope this gets some detailed work done to it in terms of shading, but it is certainly a good start.

When you see shots like this, you really appreciate the effort spent getting the detail required.

This is the last bit of work that's been done: a hand-cut Alien logo, which is lit up by some green LEDs. Incorporating this into the build without making it look odd will be an interesting task.
I really like how this build has been started. It's an unusual material to use and isn't the easiest to work with. If you make a mistake, it's hours of work again. Anything you want to do, you have to think about drying times for both the plaster and the paint. A little bit scary if you are looking at a close deadline!
The next build is
MAD GOOSE by Raket4ik. I will be honest, I clicked it because of the name and loved it because of the crazy.
