#1 best-selling PC tune-up product now also helps maintain and speed up 64-bit systems

London, UK – December 8, 2008 – iolo technologies, maker of System Mechanic,
the #1 best-selling PC tune-up utility, today announced the immediate availability of
the 64-bit compatible version of its flagship product. Used by 21 million people worldwide,
System Mechanic 8.5 is the first comprehensive PC tune-up product compatible with
64-bit computers on the market, whose more than 40 tools have been automatically
fixing and speeding up PCs since 1998.

Now running on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, System Mechanic 8.5 automatically
recognises the target operating system type and installs appropriate components during setup.
All currently licensed users of the software will also receive an automatic update that enables
them to use System Mechanic 8.5 or later on up to three 32 or 64-bit machines alike.

“In the recent months, we have seen the demand for a 64-bit compatible PC tune-up product rise dramatically,”
said JJ Schoch, iolo’s VP of marketing. “True to our long-standing commitment to the satisfaction of our
21 million users worldwide and history of innovation and leadership in the industry, we are proud to be
the first to offer an effective solution to keep all the new 64-bit machines functioning in top condition.”

iolo technologies has been at the helm of the PC tune-up industry for 10 years now.
During those 10 years and in eight versions, System Mechanic was repeatedly first-to-market with
new features and technical innovations. In 2002 it was officially endorsed by the Microsoft
Designed for Windows XP Logo program. In 2006 it became one of the very first software programs

to have Windows Vista compatibility and in 2008 it leads the industry with its 64-bit compatibility.
Going well beyond so-called “registry cleaners”, System Mechanic includes a comprehensive solution
with more than 40 different advanced PC tune-up tools that fix computer problems, restore like-new performance,
and maintain overall ongoing reliability. The software is suitable for both PC novices and experts alike.

iolo’s remaining products, including its security software, DriveScrubber, the #1 best-selling secure data removal tool,
and Search & Recover, the popular data recovery program, are all slated for similar 64-bit compatibility updates in early 2009.
