The FDCC mandate, issued by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB), is a security configuration that exists for Microsoft Windows Vista and XP operating system software. FDCC is designed to provide a single, standard, enterprise-wide, managed environment for desktops and laptops within organizations, to benefit US federal government from improved security, reduced costs, and decreased application-compatibility issues.
