MESH Computers, the UK’s oldest and most successful system manufacturer, today announced a complete range of systems based on AMD’s Dragon Platform.
Explaining the strong bond between the companies, MESH’s Sales and Marketing Director, Tony Riccardi said “We are really excited about the AMD Phenom II processor technology on its own, but what makes this launch special is the strength that can be offered when creating systems that are 100% based on the powerful Dragon Platform”.
“The partnership between MESH and AMD stretches back over 15 years and MESH has been a strategic launch partner for every generation of AMD processor technology since the days of the DX4-120” said Riccardi, “We can see all of the positive ways in which AMD is developing as a company and the launch of the Phenom II processor shows that AMD continues to be a serious competitor”.
Speaking about the naming strategy, Riccardi said “No set of AMD-based systems in the UK has won more awards than the MESH Matrix range. Our technicians have a deep understanding of the technology and work hard to create beautifully balanced PCs that resonate with the consumer”.
The MESH Matrix II range begins with an AMD Phenom II X4 920 based PC at £749, which comes complete with an HIS 4850 IceQ graphics accelerator on an AMD-chipset mainboard from Asus. The system is supplied with the very latest 22” Iiyama widescreen monitor that supports full HD resolutions up to 1920x1080.
The MESH Matrix II X4 940 uses the more powerful of the AMD processors, with all four 64-bit cores running at 3Ghz, as well as a 1GB HIS 4870 IceQ4+ graphics card. The hard drive doubles to 1 Terabyte and the system comes complete with a Blu-Ray drive.
“Look and feel is important to our customers” said Riccardi, “which is why we selected the Hush chassis for our new range. The brushed metal finish looks great and the special anechoic foam that has been integrated into the design means the astonishing strength of AMD's Dragon technology platform, is delivered without the roar”.
