Includes Digital PWM, 3* CrossFireX™ and enhanced audio

Yantai, China, June 03 2008 – FOXCONN announced imminent availability of the Digital Life ELA motherboard. Based on the Intel® P45 chipset with ICH10R southbridge, ELA has been optimized for the latest 45nm Intel® Core™2 Extreme, Core™2 Quad and Core™2 Duo processors up to FSB1600(oc)MHz. The motherboard also includes support for Dual Channel DDR2 1066(oc)MHz memory, to allow cost-effective configuration of performance PCs with enhanced multimedia capabilities.

An integrated IDT PCIe switch provides ATI CrossFireX™ support across all three PCIe2.0 x16 slots, delivering 3* x8 bandwidth for great gaming performance.

8 phase Digital PWM incorporated for better stability and higher output capability

The 8 phase Digital PWM, found on recent Quantum Force motherboards has been deployed to this latest Digital Life product. Providing more robust power delivery, and standing up to the demands of enthusiasts and overclockers. The highly-optimized digital system operates with much greater power efficiency than analogue PWMs, has a faster and more stable response to changes in power consumption, and delivers higher current output capability to support overclocking.

The ELA motherboard delivers an enhanced multimedia experience through the deployment of several key technologies.

Dual Digital Audio provides Fibre/Optical and Coaxical S/PDIF outputs for the highest quality sound output, and more flexibility for connecting audio systems. The feature enables you to isolate different sound sources on your PC and split them between either the two digital outputs or via analogue 7.1 channel audio and front panel audio outputs.

The motherboard has also received Dolby Digital Live™ certification and includes DTS CONNECT™ technology to dramatically enhance the PC audio experience for gamers and media users.

FoxOne Premium™
Also included is FOXCONN’s proprietary solution enables easy overclocking, fan control, voltage adjustment and system monitoring from a dedicated Windows application, to save users from navigating complex BIOS options.

More connectivity options
As expected from a motherboard designed for multimedia usage, the ELA includes 6* SATAII, Dual eSATA, 3* FireWire ports (with 1* mini IEEE1394 for connectivity with mobile devices) and a total 12* USB2.0 connectors.

Intel® Matrix Storage Technology™ is also enabled, allowing easy configuration of RAID disk set-ups for improved performance; separate performance data (e.g. games), and valuable data (e.g. O/S) for the best overall performance and security solution.

The ELA motherboard will be available in worldwide retail and distribution channels shortly, with an RRP of around US$249
