PREPARE FOR TOTAL WAR AT EDINBURGH INTERACTIVE 2010
The Creative Assembly celebrates the 10th anniversary of the acclaimed strategy series with an exclusive public screening, including a demo of Shogun 2: Total WarTM and audience Q&A

Monday 5th July/... Edinburgh Interactive today announced that The Creative Assembly will deliver an exclusive session on Total WarTM, the leading PC strategy series, as part of this year’s public evening screenings programme.

The free-to-attend game screenings are one of the most popular aspects of Edinburgh Interactive, offering members of the public exclusive glimpses of future video game releases. Taking place at The Filmhouse, a cultural cinema in the heart of Edinburgh, the Total War one-hour session will run on the evening of Thursday 26th August.

The Creative Assembly’s Mike Simpson, the Godfather of Total War, will provide attendees with a unique insight into the history and evolution of the Total War series, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary. The session will also play host to an exclusive demo of the recently announced Shogun 2: Total War, the sixth instalment of the multi award-winning strategy franchise on PC. The public screening will then conclude with a Q&A session allowing members of the audience to grill The Creative Assembly on all things Total War.

Mike Simpson, Creative Director, The Creative Assembly, said:
“We’re looking forward to revealing the history and evolution of the series during its first decade to Total War fans at Edinburgh Interactive, as well as detailing how recent technological developments have allowed us to portray one of history’s most exciting civil wars in Shogun 2: Total War.”

The Edinburgh Interactive conference delivers a lively schedule from a wide range of industry sectors including games, social networking, mobile entertainment, education, music, film and television. It also plays host to a range of free events including a games showcase and the public games screening programme.
