GEAR4 launches DUO speaker system

The GEAR4 DUO is a 2.1 home stereo speaker system with a detachable portable speaker, in one. Made for iPod, the DUO’s sleek black finish houses a new concept for home and portable audio, based around Versatility, Design and Sound.

Versatility The DUO speaker system comprises the Bass Unit and the Satellite Speaker, which can be used together as a powerful home stereo speaker system, or un-dock the Satellite for a portable unit perfect for taking around the house, garden or on your travels. While docked, the Bass Unit charges up the Satellite Speaker’s rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, making it permanently ready for portable use.

Design GEAR4’s patented Seamless Sound Technology (SST) provides a seamless connection between the Bass Unit and the Satellite and so, during docking and undocking, playback is never interrupted. The Satellite’s well-designed fold-out stand, retractable iPod dock and optional Travel Pack (that includes a hard, protective carry case and additional Lithium-Ion battery), make it ideal for travelling or for use around the home.

Sound DUO pumps out a total of 38W, with a powerful 20W subwoofer in the Bass Unit and 4 tweeters in the Satellite. Either docked or separate, the speaker delivers high audio fidelity and rich bass sounds.
