Gigabyte Laptop Web Store launched in the UK

Gigabyte have launched a new laptop web store for UK customers - it offers a range of Santa Rosa and Napa-based laptops, with customers available to select different configurations based on their individual requirements.
The store is powered by international internet retailer eXpansys - who are also running the back-end logistics and laptop builds to order.
Roger Butterworth, CEO of eXpansys plc said “eXpansys have a history of offering web store solutions for international manufacturers who want to enter new markets without the financial costs of creating a web store, implementing back-end logistics and payment systems, sales teams and customer services. With the standard notebook market over competitive, GIGABYTE will also focus on small- and medium-size panel devices to suit client demand. Basic notebooks will focus on adopting 7- to 9- inch panels, while pushing price and unique functions as the main selling points. UMPCs will focus on 7-inch panel-based sliding case devices. GIGABYTE will also cooperate with telecommunication vendors to push out MID products with 5-inch panels and 3G communication functions”
GIGABYTE also aims to cooperate with eXpansys to enter the UK market the one of major market for GIGABYTE in 2008.”
