London – February, 2010 - Griffin Technology, maker of ingenious ways to power, play, protect and connect, today confirms UK availability of the PowerBlock Reserve, a unique power device that combines Griffin's best-selling PowerBlock AC wall charger for USB devices with a detachable reserve battery for the iPod and iPhone.
In Apple stores from February, the innovative PowerBlock Reserve battery is held in place on the wall charger by way of a unique magnetic connection, and charges simultaneously with any other USB devices connected. Once charged, the compact reserve battery detaches from the charger and fits easily into a pocket, so you will never be without power when you need it - simply connect your iPod or iPhone for a quick and safe energy boost.
"The addition of a removable battery to the PowerBlock charger means you can take the power with you when you go," said Paul Griffin, founder and CEO of Griffin Technology, "It is a simple and reliable backup to ensure iPod and iPhone users never run out of power on the move."
The PowerBlock Reserve also features:
· A built-in USB port for charging any USB device
· An LED indicator on the battery pack, which lets you know the available charge at the touch of a button.
· Two international versions, with appropriate plug adapters, for the EU and UK and for Australia.
Pricing and Availability
The PowerBlock Reserve EU and UK model will be available at Apple stores from February priced £29.99.
