The new BooM China by TwinMOS is a unique take on the many available ways to amplify the iPod. Working in partnership with a traditional painter in China who has dedicated his life to reminding people of the beauty of Chinese art and following the fashions world’s prediction for 2008 that, Chinese art is the ‘new red’, TwinMOS with the new BooM China is exploring the possibility of connecting art and technology.

Launched to coincide with the Chinese New Year and to celebrate China hosting the 2008 Olympic Games, the new BooM China is a fashionable and practical product that revels in the cultural background of TwinMOS. Compatible with all dockable iPods from the iPod family, including the recently launched iPod Touch and iPhone, the new BooM China offers music lovers a unique, state-of-the-art 2.1 audio system with wide stereo separation (8watts per channel). But what sets this system apart from the masses is the unique and powerful 25 Watt Sub Woofer which works in harmony with the system to extend the lower frequencies for extra depth. In its guise of a stylish China Vase, the BooM China’s Sub Woofer is shaped and glazed for beauty which can either have a striking effect or compliment the surroundings.

As well as stylish, the new BooM China has been designed to be convenient and easy to use, there is no lengthy set up, just 2 cables to be plugged in – one being the power cable, the other to connect the Sub Woofer. The BooM China also includes a savvy Remote Control which not only features functions such as ‘Random’ and ‘Repeat’ but also allows you to control the volumes of the Sub Woofer and the main docking unit separately.

The new BooM China includes a Stereo Mini Jack allowing it to work with other music hardware currently available on the market such as MP3 players and Mobile Phones, a USB port and SD Card slot to ensure compatibility with all memory products, as well as a TV Out connection which means you can even hook up to a laptop or television to view videos or images stored on a connected device. The BooM China also features a power button on the unit, which may sound obvious, but many similar products do not, meaning to turn the unit off you have to use the mains socket switch which in most cases will be hidden behind whatever furniture you have your iPod dock sat on.

The new BooM China will be available from www.urboom.com for £179.99 inc. VAT from March.
