JAJAH LAUNCHES FREE LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL CALLS
JAJAH's Free Global Calling Breaks Barriers to Global Communication
With JAJAH, Talk Isn't Cheap - It's Free!
3 July, 2006. London, UK: Talking with friends and family, both home and abroad, is set to change forever as JAJAH today announces free local and international telephone calls from any landline in the UK. With no contracts, new equipment or complicated downloads required, JAJAH allows people to freely call the world's most popular destinations, including the United States, Australia, Europe, Canada and China.
The free 'web activated calls', which are available between registered JAJAH users, are simply set up via
www.JAJAH.com, which then calls your nominated phone and connects the call to your handset. So it's just like a normal phone call - only free.
To make the free calls, simply enter your own phone number at
www.JAJAH.com, then the desired destination number, and click "Call." Your phone will then ring. Pick it up, and you will be instantly connected. Again, no need to download, install or buy new equipment - or sign any contracts!
With JAJAH free global calling, people can make free calls to almost any landline in the world. Remarkably, people can also call free to mobile phones in the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
In countries where free phone calls are not available, or if someone is calling a non-JAJAH member, calls are simply subject to JAJAH's ultra-low rates, which are significantly lower than other telephone companies, such as BT, as well as Voice Over IP (VoIP) providers. "JAJAH's Free Global Calling Plan is the further realisation of JAJAH's vision of breaking down the barriers to global communication," said JAJAH co-founder Roman Scharf. "People have been predicting free phone calls for years, now JAJAH is the first to actually make free phone calls a reality. With JAJAH, you place a regular call and talk on your phone the way you always have; we simply ask that you dial the call from our website."
In place of complicated user agreements, JAJAH has created a system that depends on the JAJAH community adhering to a "fair use" policy, which simply asks people to try to keep their calls within a reasonable amount of minutes (approximately 60 minutes per day). To this end, JAJAH will monitor the number of hours per individual user per day to assure that no single person damages the overall service.
To become a registered JAJAH user and start making free calls, simply go to
www.JAJAH.com, enter your name, email address and telephone number. Registration is free, and no pre-payment is required.
