The Taiwanese Enermax Technology Corporation starts the worldwide sales of the new power supply generation Revolution85+ and again defines new standards for the market!
Hamburg, 17. November 2008. The name defines the key-feature: Revolution85+, the new power supply series, provides advanced innovations. It is the dawn of a new generation of high performance power supplies with more than a green coating. As one of the first manufacturers Enermax received the international energy-saving certificate 80Plus® Silver (www.80plus.org) with an energy efficiency between 87 and 91 % at 230 Volt. Revolution85+ is available in four power alternatives: 850, 950, 1050 and 1250 Watt.
Previous model Galaxy as pioneer for 1kW-Class
With the Galaxy-Series in 2006 Enermax made the breakthrough in the class of power supplies with more than 1 kW. In addition Revolution85+ provides currently not only the ultimate efficiency, but also was improved in security, design and compatibility. With its dimension of 150 x 86 x 190 mm the Enermax flagship presents the most compact PSU of its class and fits into nearly every Midi-Tower available on the market.
Unique security solutions
The “Safeguard“ of Revolution85+ provides eight instead of only six protections so far and now defends the system through its SIP (Surge and Inrush Protection) against unexpected power surges, which for example appear during lightning strikes, up to 2 kW and also against inrush current peaks up to 70 Ampere. Furthermore the undervoltage protection now provides two separated surges for DC- and AC-voltage. Due to the new “HeatGuard” Revolution85+ protects the system from overheating beyond 30 to 60 seconds after the system shutdown. Thereby the lifetime of the system components can be extended up to 20 percent.
A look ahead!
During the design of Revolution85+ the Enermax developers let enough space for new innovations on the PC market. Upcoming CPUs and graphic cards will be able to reduce their power consumption to a minimum – Revolution85+ supports this so called C6-Status for CPUs and the Hybrid-Mode for graphic cards. Therefore a power supply requires a dynamic power management. Enermax anticipates this need already with the Revolution85+ and provides even at ultra low power consumption below 1 Watt a stable operation (“Zero Load Design”).
