BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK LIBRARY COMES TO SELFRIDGES
BlackBerry gives ten shoppers the chance to win a BlackBerry PlayBook at a bespoke library in London’s leading department store

To celebrate the arrival of the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet, London’s leading department store Selfridges has collaborated with BlackBerry to create the BlackBerry PlayBook library for one day only. BlackBerry has created the traditional library with a difference that will feature in the store this Thursday 7th July from 9:30am. Shoppers will have the chance to win a BlackBerry PlayBook by picking a book from shelves containing one thousand books, ten of which have been hollowed out with BlackBerry PlayBook tablets planted inside.

The BlackBerry PlayBook, which is smaller, lighter and faster than many of its tablet rivals – and crucially comes with Flash®, enabling an uncompromised web experience – has already proved a hit with a range of high-profile figures including Lily Allen, Jonathan Ross and Lord Sugar, who are amongst those who’ve snapped up a device.

The BlackBerry PlayBook, designed with convenience and portability in mind, measures 19.3 x 13cm in size, is only 10mm thick, and weighs less than 425g. It comes with a range of features including HD video recording and playback, USB, HDMI and Wi-Fi® connectivity, web browsing with support for Adobe® Flash®, HD multimedia, forward (3MP) and rear (5MP) facing cameras, rich stereo speakers and unparalleled security. The BlackBerry® Bridge™ functionality also allows users to synch their BlackBerry® Mail, contacts, calendar and BlackBerry® Messenger programmes with the new tablet.
