London, 16th December - ViewSonic (R) Corp, a leading global provider of
visual display products, announced today the European release of the new
13.3" ViewBook Pro and full range of 12.1", 13.3" and 14" ViewBook
notebooks. With full support for the Windows 7 operating system from
Microsoft, the new releases not only completes the U.S. based company's
notebook product portfolio, but also continue to demonstrate further
commitment to the notebook market. The six new ViewBook Pro and ViewBook
ultra slim notebooks continue ViewSonic's tradition of assembling the best
technology with Viewsonic's attention to detail. All come pre-installed
with the all new Windows 7 operating system and achieve a perfect balance
between mobility and performance, together with aesthetics and practicality.
Integrating Intel's newest Ultra Thin / Ultra Low Voltage processors, LED
backlight technology and the latest power saving techniques some models of
the ViewBook range are capable of offering an average battery life of 12
hours.
The flagship ViewBook Pro is available in stylish black or silver. The
ergonomic user interface supports all the functions of the new Windows 7
operating system and takes the ultra slim notebook experience to the next
level. With a slim chassis forged from high-tech magnesium alloy, the
notebook is as thin as 1.7cm and weighs only 1.6kg. The super light body
sacrifices nothing in the way of strength. The specifications leave the
average slim notebook behind with the capability of an internal Super Multi
Drive DVD writer. Hot swapping support also allows the notebook to switch to
a second battery without powering down, extending battery endurance to 12
hours. With an advanced fingerprint scanner and next-generation multi-finger
touchpad, the ViewBook Pro defines a new benchmark for ultra slim notebooks.
The new ViewBook 130 and ViewBook 140 bring high-tech style and aesthetics
to 13.3" and 14" ultra slim notebooks. They are compact but deliver superior
performance and connectivity. All ViewBook models come as standard with
eco-friendly high-brightness LED backlit displays and the advanced,
easy-to-use multi-finger touchpad. The ViewBook 130 and 140 models come with
a 16:9 aspect ratio display and digital HDMI and analog VGA ports. In
addition to the 8 hours of battery life, they come with an all new sleep
status light that indicates that they can return to work immediately while
saving power. Together, the ViewBook 130 and ViewBook 140 set a new standard
for other notebooks to follow.
The 12.1" ViewBook 120, available in black or white, can be considered
unique. The 12.1" LED back-lit display offers more viewable area that other
models comparable in the same weight class and has a special anti-glare matt
finish for viewing comfort. Equipped with the latest high-performance Intel
Celeron SU2300 dual-core processor, it fully supports and is optimised for
Windows 7. As well as the next-generation multi-finger touchpad and sleep
status light display, it comes with a convenient VGA output and 7-in-1 card
reader, making the Viewbook 120 ready and more than capable.
