Nanya Technology Corporation Wins the 10th Industrial Excellence Award

Taoyuan, Taiwan November 24th, 2009 – Nanya Technology Corporation, (TAIEX: 2408), today announced its award of the 10th Industrial Excellence Award (IEA) from Industrial Development Bureau of Taiwan/MOEA; this award is given the highest esteem among industrial sector in Taiwan. As Nanya Technology well devotes its efforts to the environmental management, to build up a green supply chain which helps the reduction of greenhouse gases. Also, the company has fully implemented the occupation health and safety system(OHSAS18001) since 2008 to eliminate the occupational injury at the workplace.

Nanya Technology Corp. aims to be the first rate manufacturer in DRAM industry and commits its effort especially on technology development. In 2008, the company signed a 10-year joint venture agreement with Micron to develop 50nm stack technology and also more advanced ones. The conversion to 50nm is scheduled to complete in the Q2 of 2010; also the development with Micron on 42nm technology is now at the last stage and will start the mass production 2H of 2010. The migration to new technology will lead to the manufacture cost reduction and will strengthen the competitiveness of the company. At the moment, Nanya is the first and only company in Taiwan offering high end DDRIII products. The advantage of new technology puts Nanya in the leading position in the DRAM market.
