It could get emotional ;-)

Berlin, Germany, 22nd October, 2010 – Breadcrumbs Limited has today announced the release of Zwink, an entertainment app that features animated expressions for use in any situation where words are simply not enough or allowed. Inspired by the popular wink and smiley symbols that we all add to our emails, IMS and text messages, Zwink is a fun, new app designed to turn your iPhone, iPad or iPod into your second face. Launch the app, point your device at someone, and use any of Zwink’s charming full screen Zwinkers to let this person see exactly how you are feeling.

In the US, Zwink has become an overnight sensation, reaching No. 1 in the lifestyle app store and No. 18 of the most popular free apps overall with over 75,000 downloads in just a few days. Zwink is available to download for free from the Apple App Store now.

With literally thousands of scenarios for its use, Zwink is a simple, yet effective way of communicating feelings and emotions that cannot be spoken. Want to flirt with someone across the room or under the table? Whether you’re shy or outrageously confident, Zwink is the answer. Bored during a meeting, speech or family get together? Get someone next to you laughing by flipping them the yawn Zwink. You can even show your darker side by conveying your anger with Zwink - a great way to add animated dramatic effect to an argument. Zwink is also the perfect tool for expressing emotion to loved ones and is guaranteed to put a big smile on their face. When talking aloud is not possible or permissible, these little Zwinkers come to the rescue.

Each Zwink does something different when poked or shaken, and adorable sound effects only enhance the Zwink experience. By blowing into a device’s microphone for instance, these little characters can be inflated just like a balloon. Be sure not blow too hard, an overinflated Zwink can be explosive!

Never underestimate the power of a picture. Make people laugh, smile, blush and if needs must, make them angry, with the full line-up of expressions from the new Zwink emoticon app. Seeing the reaction that your emotions provoke could be priceless ;-)

The Zwink YouTube Video Contest
To celebrate the launch of Zwink, users are invited to submit videos to YouTube of themselves using or interacting with the Zwink app in interesting ways (i.e two devices interacting with one another, interacting with one device, telling a story, ventriloquist acts, etc.) and to post the link of their Youtube Video on the developer’s Facebook page: on.fb.me/a5dBJh.

Videos will be judged by Breadcrumbs Ltd, and the most creative entry will win an Apple iPad. The Zwink YouTube Video Contest will run for 10 days from Friday 22nd to Sunday 31st October and the winner will be announced shortly after.
