Berlin, 27 July 2010 – Brand display manufacturer AOC presents ten new LCDs for business and home use in screen sizes ranging from 47 cm/18.5” to 58.5 cm/23”. The appealingly designed flat screens effortlessly handle standard applications as well as common web and multimedia sessions; moreover, several monitors even master complex functionalities as required in professional settings. The very latest LED technology is applied in four models. And the clou: Two of the displays can be effectively protected from dirt or damages with transparent glass panels.
The 41 Series models are all kept in black and present themselves in a functional timeless design, thus blending seamlessly into countless environments. Multifunctional thanks to their numerous features, they can be utilised for office, gaming or multimedia applications. Even rapidly moving images and action-packed games are displayed distortion-free due to their fast response time of five milliseconds. Optimal image quality in vivid colours is ensured by – amongst others – the high brightness and contrast values. The positioning of the USB 2.0 port on the upper side of the monitor is especially user-friendly – for instance a webcam can be connected quickly and without having to run a length of cable. Image settings can be made swiftly and comfortably via well-structured screen menus.
Four models with particularly energy-saving LED technology
In four of the ten models, the advanced and especially consumption-friendly LED backlight technology ensures very contrast-rich images and strikingly deep blacks. It furthermore enables a space-saving build.
Tough – displays with protection glass
Displays in public areas or businesses are particularly prone to soiling and damage. The two 54.7 cm (21.5”) models 2241Sg and 2241Vg offer effective protection as they can be fitted with optionally available protective glass panels.
Environmentally friendly
Naturally nearly all models meet current energy efficiency standards such as ENERGY STAR or EPEAT. Via the Off Timer or e-Saver features, users can individually set at what point the display switches to off mode when not in use. This way unnecessary energy consumption is prevented.
The ten new displays will be available in August. Retail prices have yet to be determined.
