Berlin, 17 December 2009 – AOC has joined two worlds in one new type of display: With the elegant 2290Fwt and 2490Fwt the global brand display specialist AOC presents two PC display and TV combos in a classic and timeless design. These all-rounders with a screen size of 54.7cm (21.5”) and 59,8cm (23.6”) respectively are ideal for all users who like to quickly switch between computer work and TV entertainment. But the two models are not just extremely practical, they are also a budget and above all space saving alternative – the latter always being an invaluable advantage when space at home or the office is limited.
Whether it is office applications, games, Internet content or nail-biting blockbusters – these stylish multifunctional displays in 16:9 format with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) always present razor-sharp PC and TV images. This exceptional performance is ensured by their impressive brightness capability of 300 candela per square centimetre, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (DCR: 10,000:1), wide viewing angles and a response time of just five milliseconds (grey to grey).
Unlike conventional PC displays, the 2290Fwt and 2490Fwt take full advantage of highly advanced microelectronics including specific software to render optimum fast-paced action images and thus perfectly display TV signals, even in Full HD. Users can choose between five different aspect ratios. Two integrated speakers as well as connection options for earphones render a respectable sound.
Adjustments to the image parameters or programmes can be carried out via the comfortable on-screen menu (OSD) or an infrared remote control.
Thanks to numerous input options (HDMI v1.3, D-Sub, SCART, S-Video, Composite und Component) as well as a CI card slot, many movie, picture and data sources (Blu-ray/DVD player, camcorders, digicams, game consoles, etc.) can be connected to the 2290Fwt and 2490Fwt.
The 2290Fwt and 2490Fwt are available at the end of January 2010 with a recommended retail price of 195 GBP and 222 GBP respectively (prices without obligation).
