Luxurious quality, super slim, and environmentally-friendly: the new Verfino WLED displays from AOC

Berlin, 23 October 2009 – A lifestyle statement for every desk, the two new AOC displays from the Verfino range define design elegance. Not only do the outstanding super slim 19” (V19+) and 22” (V22+) multimedia models look dazzling – behind their glamourous exteriors lies cutting-edge technology. AOC has invested in energy-saving White LED backlight technology and achieved a superb dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1. Equipped with webcam, microphone and loudspeakers, they’re ideal for videoconferencing and multimedia sessions. With the Verfino series, AOC proves that design, top performance and environmental responsibility can all combine beautifully.
Commenting on the launch of the new display duo, Product Marketing Manager at AOC Stefan Sommer recalls: “The debut Verfino LCD series released a year ago already attracted a lot of attention. Because of their 18.5mm profile, these 16:10 widescreen displays were already the slimmest on the market, designed for both office and home use”.
Elegant allure
Only when viewed from the side does it become clear how slim these displays really are: no more than 18.5mm – the term ‘depth’ hardly applies here at all. With their timeless, classic design and oval, luxury wine-glass base made from toughened glass, the Verfino models make a lasting impression. Contrasting with the piano black finish is a colourful acrylic strip on the monitor’s lower section, where you’ll also find an ergonomic, galvanised navigation ring for easy screen adjustment.
Technology par excellence
At the heart of the Verfino V19+ and V22+ models are high performance LCD panels, which in combination with the White LED backlights facilitate an extraordinarily high dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000: 1. The advantages are obvious: vivid colour saturation as well as crisp, minute detailing, even in darker scenes. And thanks to breakneck reaction times of 2 milliseconds, rapid motion sequences can also be enjoyed distortion-free.
The convenient i-Menu software means all adjustments are indicated by colourful, self-explanatory symbols that you can control with the click of a mouse.
Multimedia versatility
Kitted out with an analogue D-Sub RGB input and a digital HDMI port (HDCP compatible), the models accommodate connection options for all standard signal sources.
With a 1.3 Megapixel webcam in addition to accompanying software, a microphone and two discreet in-built loudspeakers, these displays are the quintessential all-rounders for videoconferencing, films, games, chats and multimedia sessions.
Environmental protection in focus
Protection of the environment using green technology is a top priority at AOC. “Compared to many conventional models, Verfino stands out by consuming approximately 20% less power. Featuring an Eco-mode, these displays are completely mercury-free and fulfill the highest international environmental standards (RoHs, EPEAT Silver). In addition, the material-saving packaging is also 100% recycled”, says AOC’s Stefan Sommer.
The 22” V22+ is available from November for a recommended retail price of 195 EUR/176 GBP, and the 19” V19+ for 175 EUR/158 GBP at the end of the year (price without obligation).
