-- Nick Shih Crowned Champion Setting a Blazing SuperPi 32M Score With His H55N-USB3 Motherboard in the Free Style Benchmark Category --
TAIPEI, Taiwan – September 8, 2010 – GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards and other computing hardware solutions today proudly announced Taiwanese overclocker, Nick Shih as the winner of the GIGABYTE H55 Mini-ITX contest hosted by HWBOT. Nick scored a total of 13 points using a GIGABYTE GA-H55N-USB3 motherboard.
The GIGABYTE H55 Mini-ITX contest set a new milestone in the overclocking community as the first Mini-ITX motherboard only online overclocking contest. In addition, this ground-breaking competition was held for the love of overclocking and not for the love of prizes, so there is no prize for the winner. Instead, the winner will have the honor of being the world’s first Mini-ITX overclocking champion.
The contest was split into 2 categories running the Super Pi 32m benchmark: Stage 1 had a CPU speed limit of 4,000 MHz, and Stage 2 had no CPU speed limit. At the end of August, Nick Shih led the competition with a blazing CPU speed of 6.4GHz reaching 6min 18sec 469ms in the Stage 2 category. A fantastic achievement!

The final lucky draw, the fans voting category, was won by 1Day who, remarkably is one of a limited number of female overclockers and scored a respectable 7min 21sec 453ms in the Stage 2 category of the competition.
