Users who want to enhance the coverage of their network can take full advantage of what the Wireless Range Extender has to offer; it guarantees an optimal extended range and reduces “dead spots” in places where normally the signal is weak. The device has been especially developed for users who expect a stable connection on the ground floor, in the loft or any other room in the house or home-office, including the garden. The Wireless Range Extender can be set in the “station infrastructure” mode, which will allow the user to add wireless capability to any device that are equipped with an Ethernet connection such as gaming consoles or homeplugs. When the device is connected to the Wireless Range Extender through the UTP network cable there is no need for a cabled connection with the router.
The Wireless Range Extender provides the user with a high speed wireless network with speeds up to 300 Mbps (when set in the access point mode), which is six times faster than a conventional 802.11g wireless network. The WL-330 is compatible with 802.11n draft 2.0 wireless networks and backward compatible with 802.11b/g.
