Sitecom introduces the WL-355 Wireless Network TV Media Player which makes it possible to wirelessly play digital movies stored within the network, on a hard disk or USB memory stick directly on the TV with High Definition quality (1080p) so the user can fully enjoy his digital files from the comfort of his couch.

Rotterdam (the Netherlands), January 2010 - With the new Sitecom WL-355 Wireless Network TV Media Player from the Smart Living line, the user can easily and wirelessly play digital movies and music or view photos directly on the TV; thereby guaranteeing maximum comfort and the best possible High Definition (1080p) quality. Due to the growing use of digital content and in order to meet the demand for user-friendly solutions the Media Player enables to easily play media that are saved within the network on for example a computer or Home Storage Center (NAS), but as well files stored on an external hard disk or USB memory stick. The external memory can be connected via one of the two USB 2.0 ports; as a result the user can effortlessly view saved media which are not stored on the network as well . The second USB port can be used for the included Wireless Dual-band USB Adapter which allows to wirelessly stream media via the standard 2.4 or – in combination with a Dual-band router such as the Smart Living Media Router – less congested 5 GHz band which guarantees uninterrupted performances for time-sensitive applications. Thanks to the wireless functionality the user can wirelessly stream media that are stored without the need to lay cables through the house. The Wireless Network TV Media supports the latest multimedia formats, so the user can fully enjoy all his digital files from home made movies up to full-HD content (1080p).

Since the Wireless Network TV Media Player is part of the Smart Living line, which is developed from a non-technical approach with a focus on the needs of the end-user – the device excels in user-friendliness. The simple and intuitive menu makes it possible for even inexperienced users to easily browse, choose and play digital movies, music and photos stored within the network or a hard disk. Moreover the TV Media Player is DLNA certified, therefore it is easy to access media that are stored on other UPnP AV (Universal Plug and Play Audio and Video) equipped devices within the network, such as a Home Storage Center, desktop PC or notebook and as a result to stream the files without the use of a computer. Thanks to the included remote control, the user can play his favorite digital files from the comfort of his couch.
