Companies: #one-for-all

One For All has launched a powerful new Full HD indoor aerial. The SV9380 aerial is targeted at the owners of the 12 million TV sets that still receive analogue terrestrial broadcasts, as well as offering crystal clear pictures to those who can already receive HDTV via Freeview.

TV reception in the UK is gradually being replaced by a digital signal and by 2012 the analogue signal will be switched off - yet 20% of all televisions remain analogue. Nearly all sets can be converted to receive digital TV via their aerial with a Freeview box.

But one in ten analogue users may also need to replace or adjust their aerial before they can join the digital revolution - warns One For All, the UK market leader in TV antennae.

Rooftop aerials over ten years old may have corroded, especially in seaside locations, or they may be pointing in the wrong direction. With a weak analogue signal you just get progressively worse reception, whereas with digital it may mean you simply can't watch TV at all - there's no halfway house of poor digital frequency.
After the digital switchover, aerials will also need to be 'wideband' to pick up all services - otherwise you may find you can't receive channels such as C5 and ITV2, as well as new TV and digital radio channels added in the future.

Even homes with cable or satellite still have second or third TV sets in kitchens and bedrooms that receive their signal via an aerial - which may now need upgrading. If there is no accessible TV point for an external antenna, a high-powered internal aerial is the solution.

The One For All amplified indoor antenna gives perfect reception of Full HD television, DVB-T television and DAB radio.

'Dual Patch' technology means it's two aerials in one, with a 180 degree angle of reception - so there's no longer any need to adjust the aerial inch-by-inch to get the best signal! And the triple filters eliminate any interference from WiFi and mobile phones.

Easy to install, simply connect it to the set top box with the coaxial cable included. The sleek, flat design and aluminium stand mean it can be placed on any shelf or cabinet. It measures just 280mm x 138mm x 48mm - and it's so stylish, it doesn't even look like an aerial!
It's suitable for most locations up to 18 miles from the transmitter*. Check the type you need by visiting the aerial selector at www.oneforall.com/aerials

Enter your postcode and the coloured circles show your distance from the transmitter and which aerials will give you the best reception.

The SV9380 full HD indoor aerial is available from Argos stores and online at: www.argos.co.uk

Priced £59.99, it's cheaper than calling out a contractor to install or adjust a rooftop aerial. The technology is 'future-proof' too, so you won't have to replace it in a hurry.

For the technically-minded:
The SV 9380 full HD antenna features Dual Patch technology to guarantee best omni-directional reception, providing perfect viewing for digital terrestrial TV and HDTV. It ensures maximum reception for higher density information streams such as the DVB-T2 and HD MPEG4 transmission. It eliminates unwanted reflection by using differential mode in the two antenna plates. There is no need for polarisation and it can receive horizontal and vertical transmitted broadcast signals at the same time. It ensures stable load and gain across the entire frequency spectrum - pure 75 Ohm load to minimise echo and reflection between antenna and receiver.

SignalClear technology and triple interference filters offer 10 stages of filtering which ensure that all unwanted signals, such as DECT phones, mobile phones, wireless speakers/headphones, WiFi and other sources causing overload and picture freeze are eliminated. The state of the art amplifier uses a low noise linear microcontroller to amplify terrestrial High Definition television signals up to 42dB. Picture and sound are amplified, but not noise, giving the antenna a constant output level.

Technical Features:
o Flat design, without open loop or telescopic antennae
o Ideal solution for LCD or Plasma television
o Digital Terrestrial (DVB-T and DVB-T2), HDTV, Freeview, TNT, DTT compatible
o Full HD/HD Ready and normal UHF/VHF/DAB reception
o Up to 42 dB gain
o Gold plated coax connection and coax cable 1.5m
o Powered by AC/DC adapter or DVB-T/DVB-T2 receiver
o Signal/noise ratio is <1dB
