Photographers can be their own worst enemy
London, UK - April 16, 2009 - New research reveals that a new fear is stalking photographers. Their biggest worry is no longer the unremoved lens cap, badly exposed film or theft of equipment. According to the research, security is their biggest concern. Prolific picture takers today are facing issues with accidental loss of their images. The most frequent cause of this loss is accidental deletion.
It’s a big menace to all photographers, especially when the memory card has reached its capacity, but also caused by the massive population explosion of pictures on most hard disks. The over abundance of pictures frequently causes mismanagement, typically deletion after frantic attempts to rationalise the number of pictures on a hard disk into a manageable size.
“Accidentally erasing files, especially family photos, can be a traumatic experience, but it doesn’t have to be,” said Maggie Zaboura UK PR for iolo technologies.
Deletion does not have to be final, she says. “Whether it is the result of an accidental deletion or a hardware failure, many consumers do not realize that all is not truly lost. iolo technologies continues to develop ways to help consumers get back their valuable digital files from any source be it an IPod, a hard drive even your digital camera and relax knowing they can always change their mind and retrieve a valuable file or picture without worrying about an occasional accident.”
