Albatron displayed a superb range of 30\" LCD screens. I was very impressed with the consistent image quality and lack of colour change even when viewing at acute angles. With most LCD screens the overall colour of the image shifts as the viewers position changes. This is due to the construction of the LCD panel. These LWX range of Albatron screens would make excellent TVs and they have built in stereo speakers and an optional NTSC/PAL TV tuner with remote control.
Now, I haven\'t really mentioned graphics cards in this CeBIT report, mainly because there was really nothing new to see (well, nothing we can tell you about yet anyway, hint hint) but this particular card from Albatron caught my eye because of its cooler\'s pessimistic outlook. It has three fans, two in use and the third as a backup in case one fails!
\"WIDIO\" anybody? This is a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi transmitter/receiver combo designed for relaying music.
Plug the transmitter into your sound source (CD, DVD, X-box etc.) and the signal is sent to the portable receiver into which you plug your headphones. The unit has a quoted range of 1000\' line of sight or 200\' through walls. It has an audio sample rate of up to 48KHz (CDs are 44.1KHz) and has a typical battery life of 4 hours. The unit just samples without compression so the received sound quality should be good. The base station transmitter is also a charger for the receiver. Wireless Hi-Fi around the home!
Add-on mainboard Wi-Fi module which is neat. This particular mainboard is the PX865PE Pro-LA.
This has to be the ultimate driving game. A full racing car mounted on hydraulic pistons to simulate the car movements whilst the driver views in 3D. Bring it on!
Well folks that\'s it for this year - we have had to leave out more than we have been able to put in to this report but that\'s CeBIT for you. Technology overload! We hope you have enjoyed the pics as much as we enjoyed taking them.
We met many fantastic people and we would like to thank everyone we met for being such nice, friendly people and for making us feel special. It is heart warming to find the world is still full of nice folks even amidst all this technology. See y\'all next year!
