Test Setup

We test Intel mainstream CPUs using MSI's MEG Z390 Ace along with 16GB (2 x 8GB) of Corsair 3,000MHz DDR4 Vengeance memory, NZXT's 140mm Kraken X42 liquid-cooler, and a Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Amp! Edition. Where possible, the same hardware, memory speed, and timings are used across all our other systems to ensure the results are as comparable as possible.
