Sawing the front

This is the acrylic that will make up the front of the Temple. I took a saw to it!

I continued with the acrylic, sawing out the shapes I needed to make the frame of the case with a jigsaw. I took my time, pencilled the cuts and measured carefully.

Here's the front with the requisite cuts made to support the DVD drive.

Plans

I obviously needed to do some planning for the fine detailing of the mod. Here's a sketch of the front:

I decided that the engraving would be like this: inner side of the acrylic spraypainted black, cuts made with my Dremel-clone on the inner side in a kind of triangular pattern, and on the outside, I’ll engrave the wisdom of Kane:

HE WHO CONTROLS THE PAST, COMMANDS THE FUTURE. HE WHO COMMANDS THE FUTURE CONQUERS THE PAST.

I wanted to replicate the kind of markings, etchings that are on the building in the game. Something like this.
