Getting templated

I got a commercial company to make the templates for the text. The font is from Tiberian Sun, but that’s the only one I know of that has anything to do with C&C, so it’ll have to do.

The guys there did a really good job with the template, although it did cost a chunky $32. It’s a lot more precise than using a felt tip marker on 2cm acrylic.


Where I’ll work with the engraving. (In my dark cellar!)


I took my Dremel-clone and a small bit and worked very, very carefully on the acrylic. I’m pretty satisfied with the results - I think it turned out OK for an almost-first-time engraving.


I spray painted the inside of the case. I hate it when you can see all the dust inside cases, so this was a must! Unfortunately, the text doesn’t light up as much as I wanted, but it’s better than nothing.
