Covering the Insides

I used two clamps and bent the single sheet of aluminium simply using the edge of my desk and my hands to get the angles I wanted.

Bending the metal precisely was very difficult since I don’t have expensive precision tools for this, but I managed to get it pretty accurate despite this.

Since I only had silver hex-mesh, I had to spray paint it blue to get it to fit the theme.

Job done - the aluminimum sheet painted and fitted back inside the ATCS 840.

The next thing to do was the mount the lovely new Intel X25-M G2 SSDs and make covers for them.

At this stage I also made the covers for the 3.5in and 5.25in drive bays cages using the same techniques: cut some black aluminium, then mask and scrawl out some designs before cutting them and mounting blue aluminium behind.
