Grilling it perfectly

To finish the external details of the case, Ediejo started with his 240mm radiator grille at the top. To this, he added a bit of diamond mesh, which was spray painted white.

The completed mesh helps his "Carbon-Li" grille stand out more, while hiding the hole itself. The black and white contrast carries nicely to the front plate, which jumps out at the viewer while still remaining very clean.

Ediejo planned the slot-loading DVD drive perfectly - it barely takes a tap on the carbon fibre faceplate to eject the disc.

The base may have had its LEDs wired already, but something still seemed lacking. Ediejo chose to add a couple of white CCFLs to the base of the case, which makes it almost appear to hover on the table. To make sure that none of the white light bled through the LED holes, he carefully sealed each one with opaque silicon sealant before calling it a day.

Last but not least, Ediejo wanted to pay a little tribute to his sponsors over at Point of View. So, he airbrushed the company's chameleon logo onto the uncut side panel.
